RYA & Private Own-boat Tuition

As a qualified and practicing RYA Cruising Instructor, I have strong working experience of both RYA training working to the Competent Crew, Day Skipper and Coastal Skipper syllabus. I also deliver challenging mile-building courses for students who intend to progress through the Yachtmaster scheme.

In addition to this, I also assist yacht owners who may be new to the sport or feeling a little rusty. I have good experience of working monohulls up to 16 metres in length and with a variety of keel configurations. As the long standing owner of a Bowman 40, I am well versed in working with long and semi-long heavy displacement configurations and cutter/ketch rigged yachts.

I am able to sign-off practical courses in collaboration with an RYA Recognised Training Centre only and can arrange this for students wishing to obtain a formal qualification onboard their own boat.

I enjoy instruction and work with students of all levels of experience and confidence, tailoring courses throughout to ensure a successful outcome.

Please get in touch if you’d like to learn more about my instructing services.
